I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
